Sam Perona (Westgate) is an experienced CEO who has successfully founded, grown and exited in the medical device space. Sam's background as a microbiologist provides her with a strong clinical and scientific understanding within the healthcare and medical device sector and her experience raising funds and growing teams means she brings with her an experienced approach to leading high growth teams.

Martin has over 15 years' experience developing algorithms for image analysis in industry and academia. Previously, he has acted as chief technology officer at DigitalBridge (now Fixtuur) and since 2017, he has lectured in Healthcare Services at the University of Manchester. He co-founded Spotlight Pathology following InnovateUK and ICURe participation.

Richard is a consultant haematopathologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and a professor in pathology at the University of Manchester. His extensive knowledge and experience in the diagnosis of blood cancers and in operating specialist diagnostic centres have been crucial to Spotlight's development as a business.

Mark is a CIMA-qualified CFO and finance director. He has held senior finance roles at AstraZeneca and worked with early stage and venture-backed companies, helping life sciences, healthcare and technology businesses for over 25 years. He provides critical strategic and financial expertise and support to Spotlight.

Lena is an independent consultant with over 35 years of experience in the global medtech and pharma industry, including Sectra/Philips, Aerocrine and Pharmacia. As business area manager for digital pathology at ContextVision AB, she oversaw the development and CE making of an AI-based decision support tool for prostate cancer, INIFY. She is chair at Neores AB, board member at Zenicor AB, and board observer at Spotlight.
